I guess that is no surprise since most people that come here for the plugins, and for a good reason: it is almost all there is :). This weeks poll is on how many races you participated in last year. And, may I remind you that I am eager to get more GPS routes in the GPS routes session so if you would like to share some of the GPS routes for the races you run please go to the GPS routes submission section and get started right away.

I have added a forum where you can request GPX tracks for official races that you are interested in knowing the route and elevation for. It is also possible to discuss the plugins I have added to SportTracks.

I have added a system to submit GPX tracks and to view others. If you wish to contribute please only send in GPX tracks from official races since others may have use of these; in other words, don't use this service to upload your entire exercise logbook.

Even less people took this than last weeks poll - 11 people. The results were: 36% Accumulated Summary, 36% High Score, 0% TRIMP, and 28% Unique Routes. If I compare this with the newly added statistics at the bottom of the SportTracks page it looks like a lot of people have not voted yet.

Finally, Garmin introduce a new version in the Forerunner x05 series - the Forerunner 405. But if you actually thought, as I did, that it would be a Forerunner 305 plus (with more memory, more display functions, and so on), you were wrong. It doesn't support routes, pace alert, distance alert, and on other points it also is a step back from the 305, but on the other hand it has nifty features such as wireless communication with computers.

I guess the beautiful design of the new Forerunner 405 mean that Garmin has to cut some of the more hardware demanding features. All in all the new 405 seems more like a Suunto watch now - no disrespect to Suunto. I guess it mean that Garmin is going for the running crowd with style for their near future. I have nothing against style, I'm e.g. a huge Apple fan, but the large screen of the 305 really is nice, in my opinion, if you want to see many parameters at the same time while you are running. Also, I think it is a bit disappointing to see the features they choose cut in the 405 - for example, I thought that there was a huge demand for storing routes on the watch. Well perhaps not.

The first poll is done and the results are 77% Garmin, 8% Polar, 15% Suunto (13 votes). It was not that many people that voted but hopefully there will be more in the coming polls. I have added a section that collects the previous polls.

This week the poll is on which of the four SportTrack plugins you prefer, something I would like to know since I have no idea which are popular.

Hello everybody :). On this page I hope to write a lot of stuff on GPS and running something I have spend a lot of time on doing the past couple of years.
